How to find secret headset jack in iPhone 7
Before explaining to you how to find the secret jack present in iPhone 7, which is actually used for the mic, there is a caveat here – do it at your own responsibility, as it involves drilling a hole in your iPhone. As scary as it may sound, it is what really needs to be done if you want to use the headphone jack.
Most of the iPhone users prefer using a headset for their iPhone 7 instead of using a Bluetooth headphone or a wireless headphone which costs $150.
Famous tech geek TECH RAX demonstrates to us how we can find secret jack in iPhone 7 with some portable tools.
The tools you would be needing include a drill and stand to hold iPhone 7 tightly while drilling.
Now that you have these tools in place, the next step is to actually find the headphone jack.
At the bottom of the phone, you will find little pores on each side which are actually speakers. Tilt your iPhone at the left bottom edge. It is where you have to drill.
From the bottom left side of the iPhone leave the first 2 pores and start drilling in the next gap exactly between the pores.
While drilling, be careful that you don’t drill too deep, else you might damage your iPhone 7. After proper drilling, you will find the 3.5 mm headphone jack. Insert the headphone and enjoy your music
Please remember, drilling your iPhone 7 will damage its resistance to water, and if it happens to get wet, there is a chance it will be damaged.
We don’t recommend drilling your phone if you don’t have the technical knowledge to do it efficiently. It can render your phone useless unless you do it meticulously.
